Dear comrades,
To achieve the
long pending demands, the ITGOA members are on agitation since 11-2-13. The most important demand being the Promotion
of ITO to ACIT and the pay parity of AO and PS. The CBDT has delayed the
promotions to ACIT cadre every year for the last 25 years. It has flouted many
DOPT memoranda by not holding DPC within time. Is it not dereliction of duty by the CBDT and utter
disregard towards the pay parity? Is there no one to pose this question to it ?
A sense of utter despair is sweeping across the working class of the department
due to such inaction and insensitivity of the CBDT.
Instead of
taking corrective steps to redress the grievance of staff & officers, it is
trying to rub salt on the wounds by threatening the members of ITGOA. By way of
DO letter dated 8-3-2013, the Member (P & V) has asked CCsIT to take
administrative action. The JCA cannot remain mute spectator to such vindictive
actions. To protest against this high-handedness of CBDT and to demonstrate
unity of associations the Central JCA leaders have decided to hold a Lunch Hour
Demonstration on 28-3-2013 (Thursday) in front of all the CCIT’s Office across
the country. The Central JCA leaders
will then meet shortly to take suitable
decisions and to draft a Common Charter of Demands & strategies to achieve
them.
We call upon
all JCA comrades of Karnataka & Goa to hold Lunch Hour Demonstration in all
CCIT stations and demonstrate unity. We
need to be prepared for a sustained struggle against the partisan attitude of
the Board, especially when the Cadre Restructuring is round the corner.
